Tracey Scheppach

Professional Experience: Tracey has been a key architect in building video’s future for more than fifteen years pursuing her industry-leading expertise in areas such as advanced TV, programmatic TV, online video, cross platform video, second-by- second set-top box and smartv/ACR measurement.
She played a pioneering role in bringing addressable TV advertising to life for the industry and the largest brands in the world executing more than 250 campaigns for 50 leading clients during her tenure at Publicis Groupe including P&G, General Motors, Coke, Bank of America, Samsung and Kraft.
As Co-founder and global director of VivaKi’s The Pool, Scheppach and her team strived to gain insights into emerging forms of media and helped create industry standards for new advertising models working across six countries, including US, China, UK, MENA, Spain and Australia.
Scheppach entered the media agency world after working at Advanced TV pioneering companies Wink and OpenTV, where she launched some of the first interactive and data driven TV campaigns helping create branding campaigns with over 60 national advertisers across more than 25 cable networks.
Before agency life Scheppach was a marketing director and brand manager as well as a finance professional with experience in mergers and acquisitions and public accounting.
A frequent speaker at industry events, Scheppach is also quoted in publications such as Advertising Age, Adweek, Mediaweek and Entertainment Weekly, radio talk shows such as NPR and newspapers such as the New York Times, Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal. Scheppach has been recognized by the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) with a Great Mind Award in the Innovation category, Mediaweek’s 50, The Internationalist's Top Agency Innovators, iMedia Connection’s list of top 25 Internet Marketing Leaders and Innovators, Woman to Watch by Advertising Age and was inducted into AAF’s Ad Hall of Achievement.

Steve Murtos

Steve is passionate about the intersection of media, advertising, data and technology. He brings more than 20 years of unique experience and unparalleled leadership to Matter More.
His background combines core functional expertise in advanced and addressable television, data used in precision targeting and measurement, and local broadcast media. Steve is widely regarded as an industry expert and innovative thought leader.
Steve is a true media agency insider having spent 10+ years with WPP and 10+ years with Publicis. He counts advertisers including P&G, Wal-Mart, Bank of America, Kraft, Kellogg’s, Disney, Honda/Acura, Ford, 20th Century Fox, Sears, Toyota/Lexus, General Mills, Allstate and Lego among the many clients he has serviced. He is a vocal advocate for change in the industry and has cultivated many strong partnerships across media, data and technology players.
Steve has been a pioneer in the addressable television space. He was one of the first employees at Experian in their burgeoning advanced TV unit. There he developed foundational partnerships that are still in place today. Once he joined Publicis, Steve was a key member of the core team that ran the first scaled addressable TV trials nearly 10 years ago. The team under his leadership has activated more than 250 precision and addressable campaigns delivering significant results across various media platforms He was also named one of Broadcasting and Cable’s Top Media Strategists based on his innovative thinking.
Steve also brings experience managing placement for more than $2.5B in billings in the local broadcast marketplace This includes activity across all 210 DMAs in key verticals of auto, retail, telecom, entertainment and financial. Having worked with all major ownership groups, national rep firms and local sales teams, he has a solid understanding of the dynamics of a complex marketplace.
Originally from Wisconsin, Murtos attended the University of Minnesota where he earned his BA from the highly regarded School of Journalism. After moving to Chicago for a job at WPP he earned his M.B.A in marketing from Loyola University.
Steve currently resides in Evanston, IL with his wife, where they are active in the community and involved in the many activities of their three children.
